ALEKS Overview and Free Trial
-
AAPS Online Math Courses use a unique program called ALEKS (Assessment and LEarning in Knowledge Spaces) as part of its online courses. Those courses include Math 6, Math 7, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-Calculus.Only students in grades 5-8 can take math courses at an accelerated pace. Specifics on the Accelerated Math program can be found on our webpage. Taking math classes at an accelerated pace is not intended to be "FAST MATH". Students are not expected to complete a course in less than half of a semester (one academic quarter) and they are expected to complete all proctored tests with no less than a 90% (conversion) grade. Proctored testing must be done in one of our drop-in centers which occur outside of the school day hours. It is the responsibility of the parent and student to make arrangements to attend these proctoring sessions outside of the school day. The course sequence guide for planning purposes is linked here.
